What are threadlockers used for and what parts are they typically used on? Threadlocker is a one-component sealing adhesive made by the principle of oxygen inhibition of free radical polymerization, which can be used for both bonding and sealing. When the glued surface is isolated from the air and catalyzed, it can polymerize and cure rapidly at room temperature.

Relonda thread locker is an adhesive composed of (meth)acrylate, initiator, co-accelerator, stabilizer (polymerization inhibitor), dye and filler in a certain proportion. It is a one-component sealing adhesive made by the principle of oxygen-free radical polymerization inhibition, which can be used for both bonding and sealing. When the glued surface is isolated from the air and catalyzed, it can polymerize and cure rapidly at room temperature.

Typical uses and applications of Relonda Threadlocker
Widely used in automobile, machinery, electronics, electrical appliances, hardware thread locking, pipe thread sealing, locking nuts, bolts and screws to avoid loosening caused by vibration, fill the space between the threads of metal parts, and keep the threads loose The effect and convenience of operation.

Threadlocker function
(1) Fasten the thread. Metal screws are easily loosened or offline due to shock and vibration. Traditional mechanical locking methods are not ideal, while chemical locking methods are cheap and effective. If the screws are assembled after applying anaerobic glue, a strong plastic film will be formed in the thread gap after curing, so that the screws will not be loosened. Now there are pre-coated anaerobic adhesives, which are pre-coated on the screws and placed for use (valid for four years). As long as the screws are screwed in and tightened, the expected anti-loosening effect can be achieved.

(2) Good sealing performance. It is impossible for any plane to be in close contact with each other completely, and it needs to be sealed against leakage. The traditional method is to use gaskets such as rubber, asbestos, and metal, but they will leak quickly due to aging or corrosion. Instead of solid gaskets, anaerobic adhesive can achieve close contact after curing, making the sealing more durable. Anaerobic adhesive is used for the sealing of threaded pipe joints and threaded plugs, the sealing of flange mating surfaces, and the sealing of mechanical box joint surfaces, etc., and has a good leak-proof effect.

(3) Fix the position of the firmware. Cylindrical components, such as bearings and shafts, pulleys and shafts, gears and shafts, bearings and seat holes, bushings and holes and other hole-shaft combination accessories, were previously assembled by shrinking, cold pressing and other dimensional interference methods without exception. , supplemented by keys and pins, etc. This fixing method requires strict machining accuracy, and due to different thermal expansion coefficients, wear and corrosion occur, and it is easy to loose. The use of anaerobic adhesive can fill the gap, and after curing, it is firm and durable, stable and reliable. The method of holding with anaerobic glue reduces the requirement of processing accuracy, the assembly operation is simple, the production efficiency is improved, and the energy consumption and processing cost are reduced.
